Greg Zobell
January 29, 1950 greg.zobell@cox.net Healthcare Consultant Married 5 East Yes Yes, I have been very blessed. Marriage and Family: *My wife Suzanne and I have been happily married for over 43 years. *We are the parents of 5 wonderful children (4 living) and 16 of the BEST grandchildren ever. *We have lived most of our lives in Mesa, Arizona. Education * After high school I attended the University of Wyoming majoring in Microbiology. I transferred to Brigham Young University to complete a bachelors in microbiology/medical technology. *After working a short time as a medical technologist, I completed a masters degree in health care administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Profession *I served in several hospital administrative positions: including 3 years as the CEO of Kino Community Hospital in Tucson, Arizona and over 25 years in the Samaritan/Banner Health system in Phoenix, Arizona. * In 2007, I established my own healthcare consulting firm focusing on leadership excellence and improving the patient experience. * I semi-retired in 2017 and continue to serve my longest client: Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in Globe, Arizona. My specialties are: "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People", "Crucial Conversations", "Influencer: the Science of Change", and "Getting Things Done". Church Service * I served a two year mission in Argentina for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. * I have served for over 40 years in many teaching and leadership callings including 5 years as a bishop (lay minister) for two different wards (congregations)and as a scoutmaster for Troop 534, the Boy Scouts of America. Overcoming Adversity Like most of you, I have faced adversity in life that has tested me to the core and helped mold me to the person I am today. *I have "lost" two professional positions, one through a management contract cancellation and the other through budget expense reduction targeting position eliminations. These were both unexpected "refinements for the soul". I was blessed to come out better for the experience. *I read that among the greatest trials we can face in life is the death of a spouse or a child. Three years ago, we faced trial of the sudden passing of our 35 year old daughter, a mother of 4 children. This has tested our faith and courage. To do my BEST to be a Good Husband, Father, Grandfather, Servant-Leader, and Person.
